Spain has some of the best food and drink in the world and, compared to the UK, at absolute bargain prices. There is a lot more than paella available (although a good paella is one of our top dishes and always great to cook with friends on the patio).

Spanish wine has improved dramatically over the years and there are great examples of red, white and rose in all price brackets.

We have all found that learning a little Spanish will greatly improve your relationships with the locals and life in general. It is a lovely language and relatively easy to learn, so use our tips and tricks and have a go - it will definitely be worth it, even if only for ordering beers at the bar!

Things are just different to the UK, from customs and social behaviour to property and vehicle law and there is definitely a different pace of life and approach to getting things done. If you do not understand it and mix in, life can be very frustrating!
